Frequently Asked Questions

Questions with Answers

  1. How can I purchase on original DemonKidz doll?

Most of the DemonKidz Dollworks line is 'adopted' through Custom Orders. Feel free to also browse our eBay offerings under the ID Demonkidz. Rarely, dolls are also offered for direct sale through the web site, so please check often for new characters. NONE of our dolls are ever reproduced by the Artist unless owned by or commissioned by ONE buyer for the sole purpose of having "twins" - the joy of having a custom made doll is...well...for it to be completely unique! 2. What is the Doll making process

This process is described on the Custom Orders page.

  3. What payment methods are accepted?

I accept personal checks in US dollar amount, US Money Orders and PayPal, which does include PayPal accepted credit cards. Sorry, no credit cards other than PayPal verified at this time. (go to top)

  4. Do you require a deposit?

A non-refundable deposit of 1/3 of the quoted price is required to slot your space on the waiting list - I cannot hold spots or start your doll without this. All DemonKidz are created on an individual basis, so when I get the deposit in, that goes directly toward the cost of the doll's own supplies; be it hair, coloring, clothing and other supplies required for detailing, props, and costuming. Total for the doll is due a maximum of 2 weeks after the Final Photo Shoot and placement on the DemonKidz site. If more time is needed for payment, just ask, I am pretty lenient on this. The doll will be shipped 1-3 days after total payment is received. (go to top)

  5. Kinds of doll characters you can request?

YOUR WILDEST DREAMS! I have made portrait kidz which are made to look like their owner, even hand-rooting the owner's own hair into the doll. Memory kidz are made in memory of a loved one, to specifications listed by the requesting party. You can either give me full artistic control or I can go off a special detailed list of what YOU want. 6. Are Demonkidz Dollz available in stores?

We have been approached by 3 different manufacturers since 2003 on the toy/collectible circuit and have politely declined. Each of these individual dolls are close to my heart and handcrafted ONLY by myself...and will stay that way. Due to the extremely handcrafted nature of the dolls, wholesale options are not offered at this time. (go to top)

  7. How long does it take to make an original DemonKidz doll?

Every DemonKidz doll is a unique one of a kind artistic creation, designed and handcrafted by myself alone. Custom Orders allow the adoptive "parent" to have creative input to pick and choose facial type, hair and eye color, skin color, horn style (if any), clothing, teeth, etc. Each doll takes about 2 weeks to cure to make sure my guarantee of "no chipping/no peeling" stays true unto itself. Your DemonKidz doll will take 2 weeks to 3 months to be created due to the care involved in the creation process, the time of procuring the base doll if we don't have yours in stock, as well as my own personal obligations outside of doll making. 8. If I send you a doll of my own, can you "reVamp" it into a DemonKidz doll?

Sure thing! I have done this many times, not only on the base models I use but also on hard vinyl dolls such as "Vamp" who resides on this page. There IS a break in pricing if you send me your own doll for customizing, and the detailing, and extras are exactly the same as any other DemonKidz doll, including handrooted hair if possible and realistic detailing of face and skin. 9. What if I have another "brand" of OOAK doll that needs repairing?

I work not only on blank base dolls, but I also refurbish/repair other handmade vinyl dolls by different "demon baby" artists. I do leave the original artist's name intact as well as my own signature and date of repair. Pricing on repair/rework depends on the problem and level of repair needed. At current date, for broken horns, missing teeth, peeling wigs or peeling/faded coloring, the charge has been less than $65.00 for complete repair, which is the highest pricing since we have offered this, since 2003. I DO NOT post repair work photos on site to protect the original artist(s). Contact between myself and the original artist is NOT made - so please do not ask me to - that is between original artist and buyer ONLY. (go to top)
